01 — Your space, your scope

From one room to a connected renovation.

JackStone welcomes projects from Loop homeowners who want thoughtful planning and detailed finish work. A focused bathroom update and a coordinated apartment renovation each deserve a clear scope.

02 — Before the first day of work

The building is part of the plan.

Requirements vary by building and proposed scope. Bring the guidelines you already have; approvals, documentation and any permit needs must be established for the particular project.

01

Define the rooms

Tell us what needs to change: the kitchen, a bathroom, finishes or several connected spaces. Include what you want to keep and your priorities.

02

Gather building guidelines

Ask your property manager for the renovation application, contractor documentation requirements and the process for reviewing proposed work.

03

Plan access and daily life

Clarify working hours, elevator reservations, deliveries, debris removal and protection of shared areas. Tell us whether you plan to stay during the work.

03 — See the workmanship

04 — Getting started

Questions before a condo renovation.

What should I send with my inquiry?
Your neighborhood, rooms involved, desired changes and timing constraints. Building renovation guidelines, photographs and existing drawings are useful starting points.
Can you review an individual room?
Yes. We discuss individual kitchens and bathrooms as well as multiroom projects. Scope and availability are confirmed for each inquiry.
Will the building need to approve the work?
Ask your property manager which review and documentation apply to your scope. Building approval and city permit requirements are separate matters; neither should be assumed from another building’s project.
Can I stay in the apartment?
That depends on the work and facilities affected. Discuss access, noise, work zones and possible utility interruptions before agreeing on sequencing and occupancy arrangements.
