JackStone services
Kitchen Remodeling
Kitchen remodeling and installation, from fitted cabinets and countertop coordination to lighting, surfaces, and finish details.
Planning the room
A kitchen is a coordination project.
A successful kitchen renovation has to solve more than appearance. The layout needs to support cooking, storage, gathering, appliance clearances, lighting, and everyday movement. JackStone begins with the existing room, the way the household uses it, and the decisions that affect everything downstream.
Cabinet dimensions influence plumbing, electrical, countertops, flooring, trim, and appliance placement. Resolving those relationships early helps prevent rushed field decisions and protects the quality of the finished installation.
- Existing-condition review and practical layout priorities
- Cabinetry, appliance, and countertop coordination
- Plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and lighting sequence
- Flooring, backsplash, trim, and finish transitions
- Protection and access planning for occupied homes
During construction
The visible finish depends on the work behind it.
Once demolition begins, the room often reveals conditions that drawings cannot show: uneven framing, old utility routes, insufficient support, or surfaces that are not ready for new cabinetry and tile. Those conditions should be understood and corrected before finish materials arrive.
JackStone keeps the sequence connected—from preparation and rough work through cabinet installation, surfaces, fixtures, and final adjustments. The goal is not simply to install each component, but to make the complete room read as one deliberate result.
Living through the work
A premium process respects the rest of the home.
Kitchen work affects a household more than most renovations. Clear expectations for access, dust protection, material deliveries, utility interruptions, and the order of work make the experience more manageable.
Before construction, we identify the decisions that must be settled, the areas that need protection, and the milestones that control the next trade. During the project, homeowners receive direct, owner-led communication instead of being passed between a salesperson and a production team.
Common questions
Useful answers before the first walkthrough.
- Can I request kitchen installation without a full redesign?
- Yes. Share your cabinet plan, appliance specifications, site photographs, and delivery timing. We can review cabinet installation, fitting, trim, and the connected work as a defined scope.
- How are countertops included?
- We define the countertop scope alongside the cabinetry: material selection, measurement and templating, fabrication arrangements, delivery, installation, sink openings, and related connections. The estimate identifies which steps JackStone handles or coordinates and which belong to a supplier or specialist.
- When should cabinetry and appliances be selected?
- Early enough to coordinate exact dimensions, utilities, clearances, and lead times before rough work and finish installation are committed.
- Can JackStone coordinate plumbing and electrical work?
- Yes. Kitchen remodeling is managed as one connected scope so cabinetry, lighting, outlets, plumbing, ventilation, and appliances work together.
- How is an occupied home protected?
- Protection is planned around the specific home and access route, including work-zone separation, floor protection, delivery paths, and regular cleanup.
- Do you work throughout Chicagoland?
- JackStone serves Chicago, the North Shore, Barrington, Lake in the Hills, and surrounding northwest suburbs, depending on project scope.
Serving Chicago, North Shore, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Glencoe, Wilmette, Glenview, Barrington, Boulder Ridge and Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, and Huntley. Selected projects in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin are reviewed for scope and logistics.
