Property conditions, the existing structure, site access and local requirements shape an addition. Design and engineering input may be needed before the construction scope can be confirmed. Share existing plans and any professional work already completed so responsibilities can be established.

An addition affects more than its new floor area. The roof connection, exterior envelope, utilities, circulation and interior finishes all need to work with the original home. We discuss sequencing and protection of occupied areas as part of the scope.

- Do I need finished plans before contacting JackStone?
- You can start with your goals, location and photographs. Share any drawings already prepared so we can discuss the next planning and construction steps.
- Can you remove a wall to open the layout?
- Wall changes require an assessment of structure and utilities. No wall is assumed to be non-load-bearing from a photograph.
- Are additions available in every type of property?
- Feasibility depends on the property and applicable approvals. Condos and other managed buildings may have significant constraints; the proposal must be reviewed for that property.
